Collections

The museum's collections are prerequisite for the functioning of the museum. The Fiskars Museum preserves cultural heritage for future generations. We receive, examine and catalogue items and photographs connected to life at the Fiskars Ironworks. Researchers are welcome to come and see the museum's collections. Remember to contact the museum before you arrive. Under research you can find helpful links and contactinformation.

Good luck in your research!

If you wish to donate items, photographs or archive material, we likewise ask you to contact us in advance.

The scissors and paperknife are object number one in the Museums collections. They where made for Mayor Carl M. Kjellin in Tammisaari.

The guiding line for the museum's collection work is the professionally kept museums' collection programme of Western Uusimaa.
