Guided tours and workshops

Guided tours for School- and Kindergarten groups

A guided tour at the museum (4-16-year-olds)

Presentation of the new basic exhibition.

Group size: max. 25 people
Duration: 45 minutes
Admission: free admission (up to 18 year-olds)
Guidance fee: €40/group (on weekdays)



Workshops for school groups

Workshops are an alternative way to get to know the collections of the museum and the archive. The workshops first visit the museum's basic exhibition or the Pohja local history archive, which is located near the museum. After the visit we look at different phenomenons in history and solve problems with the use of creativity. Workshops are arranged for children of 7-12 years old during school terms. 

Bakning Workshop (9-12 years)

At the museum area there is an old Bakery and Mangle house. In the workshop we learn about the local food traditions, bake in the traditional own and churn butter.

Duration: 1,5 h
Fee: €55/group + 3 €/person material fee


Tinn Workshop (9-12 years)

We visit the Upper Ironworks exhibition to learn about Iron production and after that everyone gets to mould his own tinn solider in the Foundry.

Group size: max. 8 pupils
Duration: 1,5 h
Fee: €55/group + 5 €/person material fee
