Time travels

Time travels

A time travel is a role play, where play, work and drama can help your group  experience what life was like at the Ironworks a hundred years ago. You can choose the one you like from the options underneath. Alternatively you can make your own programme according to the wishes of your group, or to adapt to the needs of special groups. Time travels are especially good for children of 6-10 years old.

Good to know before a time travel

Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 12 children. If you wish to take part in time travels with a bigger group, we recommend dividing the group in half and coming in two separate groups. There is plenty to see and experience in Fiskars while part of the group is on a time travel. Specific information can be found on the Fiskars Village website.

A teacher or another adult must take part in the time travel with the children, and be responsible for the group for the duration of the visit. Group leaders do not have to pay admission fees.

A time travel usually takes about two hours, so it is recommended to reserve enough time for the visit. If the schedule includes baking, groups can arrive at 10am at the earliest, because it takes a few hours to heat the baking oven.
Eating is often included in the time travels, and bread and juice or fruits are served. You can also bring your own food. Inform us of your wishes regarding dining when you register for the time travel, and we will set the table. Also remember to inform us of possible food allergies.

Time travels for school children cost €5/ pupil unless otherwise noted. In addition, material costs are €15/group, if they are included in the group's schedule. Minimum price is €50/group. The price includes the programme, dining, guide, clothes and other props.
